Is India a member of WHO?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. Established on April 7, 1948, and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the WHO works to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. 

Objective: To ensure all people attain the highest possible level of health, defined as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.

Leadership: As of 2017–2026, the Director-General is Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
